    Carlos Bechara, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Rush. He completed his residency in general surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He published over 100 manuscripts and book chapters, including co-editor of Vascular Reconstructions. He is the associate editor for Annals of Vascular Surgery and Journal of Endovascular Therapy. Currently, he serves as Professor of Surgery, Chief and Program Director at Rush University Medical Center. He is The James A. Hunter, MD, University Professor endowed chair. He is a Distinguished fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS) and a designated SVS coach.
